The Brooklyn Nets have requested waivers on Luis Scola.

Scola, who signed as a free agent with the Nets on July 13, 2016, appeared in 36 games for Brooklyn this season, recording averages of 5.1 points and 3.9 rebounds in 12.8 minutes per game. In 743 career NBA games with the Nets, Raptors, Pacers, Suns and Rockets, the 10-year NBA veteran has averaged 12.0 points, 6.7 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 25.6 minutes per game.

The Houston Rockets have traded K.J. McDaniels to the Brooklyn Nets.

The Rockets will be able to use McDaniels' $3.3 million cap space on the buyout market.

For Brooklyn, the acquisition of McDaniels helps them move towards the salary cap floor.

The Brooklyn Nets haver agreed to trade Bojan Bogdanovic and Chris McCullough to the Washington Wizards in exchange for Andrew Nicholson, Marcus Thornton and a 2017 first round pick.

The Wizards traded their 2016 first round pick last year for Markieff Morris.

Brooklyn will swap their own first round pick this year with the Boston Celtics, which will likely give them two first rounders in the twenties.

Bogdanovic will be a restricted free agent in the 2017 offseason. Bogdanovic is averaging 14.2 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game while shooting 35.7 percent on three-pointers.

The Brooklyn Nets have dropped their asking price for Brook Lopez ahead of Thursday's trade deadline.

The Nets have been seeking two first round picks in exchange for Lopez, but they now are willing to accept a first round pick and a second round pick.

With the New Orleans Pelicans acquiring DeMarcus Cousins from the Sacramento Kings for just Buddy Hield, a first round pick and a second round pick from the 76ers, the Nets have seemingly lost leverage in negotiations.

The Brooklyn Nets have secured an $8 million per year jersey sponsorship with Infor.

Info is a closely held software company backed by Koch Industries Inc.

As part of the tie-up, Infor will also provide data analytics and technology to support the team’s business operations, fan experience initiatives and player performance.

“Infor will soon become the main artery of our company, one that connects both business and basketball,” said Brett Yormark, the chief executive officer of Brooklyn Sports and Entertainment, which manages several sports properties including the Nets.

Info competes with enterprise technology behemoths SAP and Oracle, and was valued at about $10 billion as recently as November.
