Dairis Bertans has agreed to a two-year deal with the New Orleans Pelicans.

The deal will have a team option for the 19-20 season.

The Pelicans waived Tim Frazier to create a roster spot for Bertans.

Bertans is under contract with Olimpia Milano, but has an out-clause for the NBA.

The Pelicans are "seriously discussing a deal" for Dairis Bertans from Olimpia Milano to take Fraziers' roster spot. 

The older brother of the Spurs' Davis Bertans, Dairis is shooting 54% on 3-pointers. 

The Boston Celtics informed the New Orleans Pelicans that "everyone can be available" when they discuss an Anthony Davis trade this offseason.

There has been varying speculation whether the Celtics will make Jayson Tatum available in Davis trade talks.

The Celtics were unable to execute a trade for Davis as the trade deadline due to the presence of Kyrie Irving on their roster while also on a Derrick Rose rule max contract.

Anthony Davis will not play in tonight's game against the Los Angeles Lakers due to rest.

The Pelicans lost to the Pacers last night 126-111. Davis played 20 minutes in the loss. 

The New Orleans Pelicans will play Anthony Davis around 20-25 minutes per game, bringing a resolution to a brewing controversy over whether they would sit Davis for the season.

Davis is currently averaging 36 minutes per game on the season. 

Danny Ferry also added that they plan to reduce Jrue Holiday's minutes as well. 

"You will see a reduction in Anthony's minutes. You'll probably see Jrue's minutes come down because his minutes have been so high all year," said Ferry. 

Danny Ferry will attempt to convince NBA officials to re-think their rule forcing the New Orleans Pelicans to play Anthony Davis. 

According to Pelicans officials, the distraction surrounding Davis' situation can be diminished by sitting him out for the season. Alvin Gentry recently called the distraction a "dumpster fire".

Adam Silver commented on the situation over the All-Star break, saying "it’s a very unhealthy situation for the team and, frankly, for Anthony as well."

Anthony Davis stated that the Boston Celtics are on his list of teams that he would sign a long-term contract with, adding that he "never said Boston wasn't on my list". 

He then said in a later interview that he wants to play for any team outside of the Pelicans.

“All 29 other teams are on my list. I don’t have a preferred destination. I just want to win. Big market, small market - I don’t care. I just want to win. Whatever team I get traded to, I’ll play for it that year or whatever. I’ll make the best of it and then when free agency comes, see what happens. I can’t tell the future," said Davis.

Davis added that he never gave anyone a list of teams he'd like to get traded to.

“I never gave a destination. Anthony Davis never gave a destination of where he wants to play.”

The Toronto Raptors were interested in trading for Nikola Mirotic from the New Orleans Pelicans at the trade deadline.

The Raptors and Pelicans worked together on a three-way trade that would have sent Delon Wright to the Orlando Magic.

The Pelicans instead traded Mirotic to the Milwaukee Bucks, which led the Raptors to pivot to their acquisition of Marc Gasol instead.

There is no plan in place for how the New Orleans Pelicans will handle the Anthony Davis situation after the All-Star break. both sides are reevaluating the best way to handle his playing time.

Davis requested a trade on January 28, but the Pelicans elected not to trade him at the deadline.

Davis then stated he wanted to return to the Pelicans' lineup and the NBA forced the team's hand in letting him play.

The Pelicans could try to sit Davis for the remainder of the season, which could get the National Basketball Players Association involved.

Danny Ferry has been named interim general manager of the New Orleans Pelicans.

The Pelicans parted ways with Dell Demps on Friday.

Ferry had been working with the Pelicans' organization as a consultant.
