Durant Calls Bosh A 'Fake Tough Guy'

Jan 30, 2011 6:12 PM

Kevin Durant was whistled for a rare technical foul for jawing with Chris Bosh in the first quarter of Oklahoma City's loss to Miami on Sunday.

After the game, Durant continued to talk about Bosh.

"There's a lot of fake tough guys in this league and he's one of them," Durant said when asked about the altercation.

Durant was upset because Bosh got involved in his conversation with a teammate. Bosh says Durant was telling James Harden that next time, he should dunk on Bosh. Bosh had fouled Harden on the previous play to prevent a fast-break layup.

Durant Describes Game-Winner As 'One Of The Best Feelings'

Jan 23, 2011 10:36 AM

Kevin Durant hit a three-pointer as time expired to give the Thunder a 101-98 victory over the visiting Knicks on Saturday night.

"Once I let it go," Durant said, "it felt like everybody went silent."

When he came to Durant realized that he had hit his first buzzer-beating, game-winner in Oklahoma City.

"That's one of the all-time best feelings I've had in this league," he said.

Durant had struggled in last-second situations prior to Saturday night's shot.

"I was never going to get down on myself," Durant said. "I just had to keep working. I knew my time was going to come."

Oklahoma City Encouraged By Offensive Improvement

Jan 13, 2011 6:58 PM

The Thunder have complied a 20-4 record when scoring at least 100 points.

Scott Brooks, however, doesn't feel compelled to use that number as a benchmark.

“I don't have a set number,” Brooks said before Oklahoma City's 118-112 win over the Rockets. “It's almost just the flow of the game. We have some unique offensive players that can get to the basket. And when they're aggressive, good things happen.

“I just like to see the ball move and guys be aggressive and not hesitate when they have open shots. That's our focus. But we've definitely improved our offense…You're always tinkering and getting better. Individually, guys have gotten better. We're getting to the free throw line more. But we still hang our hats on defense.”
