Rondo, Howard Plays Being Reviewed By NBA

Apr 29, 2009 3:31 PM

NBA vice president of basketball operations Stu Jackson was busy on Wednesday reviewing two questionable calls from Tuesday night's playoff action.

"Both plays are under review," league spokesman Tim Frank said, according to ESPN.com.

The plays involved Orlando's Dwight Howard elbowing Philadelphia's Samuel Dalembert, and Boston's Rajon Rondo hitting Chicago's Brad Miller in the mouth on a foul.

If the NBA adheres strictly to its rule book, it appears as though Howard is more at risk than Rondo to be suspended for their respective Game 6s.

76ers Ask NBA To Review Dwight's Elbow To Dalembert

Apr 29, 2009 9:29 AM

The 76ers immediately asked the NBA to review an elbow thrown by Orlando's Dwight Howard in the first quarter of Tuesday night's Game 5.

Howard threw an elbow at Philadelphia center Samuel Dalembert after the two got tangled up underneath the basket.

Many expect Howard to be suspended for Game 6 because of the incident, and the 76ers claim he should have been thrown out of Game 5 following the elbow.

"I'll let the NBA deal with that," Dalembert said after the game. "If it was me, I'd have been thrown out already."
