Nash Lists Suns, Knicks And Raptors As Possibilities In 2010

Dec 31, 2008 2:36 PM

Phoenix point guard Steve Nash discussed his pending free agency in 2010 with NBC Sports on recently.

"There's a few situations out there that would be attractive, so I feel fortunate that there could be some possibilities for me," Nash said. "One would be for me to stay here in Phoenix. I've had a great 4 1/2 years here. New York, obviously, is our off-season home, so we love the city. It's a basketball mecca. Mike D'Antoni is there so there's a lot of attractive variables. And then Toronto, to go back to Canada to play for the home team, so to speak.

"I feel good that one of those three could really be a really strong possibility. Like I said, Phoenix would be the natural choice, just because I've been here and enjoyed success here and really feel at home here."

He attempted to keep his options open, though.

"Who knows who's going to be interested in two years?" Nash said.

Suns' Nash Leaves With Back Spasms

Dec 30, 2008 8:16 AM

Phoenix guard Steve Nash doesn't expect the back spasms that limited him against Oklahoma City to be a long-term issue.

Nash played just nine minutes in Monday night's victory.

"The negative is that I didn't get to contribute, but the positive is I didn't have one incident that jarred it, and it was a huge reaction that could keep me out for an extended period of time," Nash said after the game.

"We'll see how I feel (Tuesday). I'm very questionable for (Tuesday), but I think it's something that definitely won't keep me out after the new year."

The Suns battle the Grizzlies on Tuesday night.

Dec 28, 2008 6:02 AM

There have been questions raised about whether Amare Stoudemire will be with the Phoenix Suns in the long term, but according to the man himself his loyalty remains with his current team, the Arizona Republic is reporting

Stoudemire can become a free agent the same season as LeBron James, Chris Bosh, Dwyane Wade and company in 2010.
