The Houston Rockets have declined their fourth-year option on the contract of Marquese Chriss.

Chriss was acquired by the Rockets in a trade with the Phoenix Suns.

Chriss was the eighth overall pick in the 2016 draft by the Suns. The Suns have also declined the 19-20 option on Dragan Bender.

Bender was the No. 4 pick in the 2016 draft. Bender will be an unrestricted free agent in 2019.

Anthony Bennett, Jahlil Okafor and Wesley Johnson are other top draft picks who haven't had their fourth-year options picked up.

"Of course, I wished they picked up my option but I'm not going to let this stop me from reaching my goals," Bender told ESPN in a text message.

The Chicago Bulls will sign Shaquille Harrison to a contract.

Harrison was released by the Phoenix Suns on Monday.

Harrison went undrafted in 2016 out of Tulsa.

Davon Reed will sign a two-way contract with the Indiana Pacers after he clears waivers.

The Phoenix Suns waived Reed before the start of the season.

Reed was the 32nd overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft.

The Phoenix Suns sought a trade with the Philadelphia 76ers for T.J. McConnell in recent weeks.

The Suns offered a second round pick for Philadelphia's backup point guard, which the 76ers rejected.

The Suns have also had interest in Patrick Beverley, Cory Joseph and Spencer Dinwiddie.

The Cleveland Cavaliers also sought a trade for McConnell during the 17-18 season.

The Phoenix Suns have waived Davon Reed, who was a second round pick in 2017.

The Suns are clearing the roster spot to sign Jamal Crawford.

Reed averaged 3.0 points and 1.9 rebounds in 11.5 minutes over 21 games last season.

The Phoenix Suns have waived Shaquille Harrison and Darrell Arthur.

Arthur was acquired as part of the Jared Dudley trade.

Jamal Crawford has agreed to sign a one-year deal with the Phoenix Suns.

Crawford has remained a free agent after it became clear he wouldn't re-sign with the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Phoenix Suns have offered Jamal Crawford a contract for the veteran's minimum. 

Crawford met with the Suns on Friday.

“I like Jamal. I know him personally. He’s a great player, he’s a great guy,” Jamal Jones said on 98.7 FM Arizona’s Sports Station. “Those are the types of players that we will look towards as we go through the season. More importantly, it’s not even about who potentially could be here or who’s out there. I’m focused on who’s here and we know who those guys are.

“Jamal is a name that — a guy that we’re looking at. He’s someone that we’ve expressed interest in, one of many names.”

Crawford played for the Minnesota Timberwolves last season.

The Phoenix Suns have applied for a disabled player exception for Darrell Arthur.

Arthur was acquired by the Suns from the Brooklyn Nets.
