Devin Booker has been fined $25,000 for escalating an altercation with Gorgui Dieng by pushing him in the face.

Booker and Dieng were ejected with the incident.

Booker and Dieng appeared to both motion to meet one another in the hallway of the arena.

The Phoenix City Council has approved a $230 million renovation of Talking Stick Arena, which will keep the Phoenix Suns at the venue through at least 2037.

The deal has been controversial with the city of Phoenix paying $150 million from its Sports Facilities Fund, which is composed of a one percent tax on hotels and a two percent tax on car rentals.

The city council postponed the vote back in December after it received a public backlash.

"I'm glad that we can carry on the vision that (former owner Jerry Colangelo) had and that this council had 26 years ago to get this building built," Robert Sarver said. 

Devin Booker and Gorgui Dieng were ejected from Tuesday's game following a confrontation between the two.

Dieng knocked Booker down with an elbow and the two then exchanged words before Booker retaliated by putting his left hand in Dieng's face.

“I think he’s trying to hit me,” Dieng said. “Everybody could see. It was clear. I wasn’t trying to throw a punch. He’s trying to hit me. I just laugh it off.”

As Dieng was leaving the court, he motioned Booker to meet him in the hallway. Booker tried to run off the court to meet Dieng in the hallway but was held back by the Suns' director of team security.

Dieng got to the top of the hallway between the locker rooms as he left the court first, but went back inside the visiting locker room before Booker got to the other end of the hallway near the Suns’ locker room.

“I know in this league a lot of guys think they’re tough.” Dieng said. “And they’re not.”

The Phoenix Suns signed Quincy Acy to his second 10-day contract.

The 28-year-old Acy has appeared in just four games with the Suns, scoring 1 point in 33 minutes. 

The Suns still have one open spot on their roster. 

The Dallas Mavericks have escalated trade discussions centered on Dennis Smith Jr. 

Smith's place with the Mavericks in the long-term is uncertain due to the presence of Luka Doncic.

The Phoenix Suns and Orlando Magic have been engaged with trade talks with the Mavericks.

Smith has missed the Mavs' past three games with a sore back.

Rick Carlisle and Smith have struggled to find a common ground. Smith has been pushed into an off ball role and Carlisle has been frustrated with the second-year guard's decision making.

The Phoenix Suns plan to sign Quincy Acy to a 10-day contract.

The 28-year-old Acy averaged 5.9 points and 3.7 rebounds with the Nets last season. The Suns will be the 6th NBA team that Acy has played for in his career.

The Suns recently waived Eric Moreland. 

The Phoenix Suns have waived forward/center Eric Moreland.

Moreland signed with the Suns on Dec. 10 and appeared in one game, grabbing three rebounds in five minutes against Golden State on Dec. 31.

The Suns’ roster now stands at 15 players.
