Devin Booker was not named as an All-Star reserve as voted on by the coaches.

Booker is averaging 27.1 points, 4.1 rebounds and 6.4 assists this season.

“I’ve played with and against multiple All-Stars in this league and Devin Booker is undoubtedly an NBA All Star,” wrote James Jones in a statement released by the Phoenix Suns.

The Suns are current seven games under .500.

Larry Fitzgerald of the Arizona Cardinals has purchased a minority stake in the Phoenix Suns.

Fitzgerald has built a strong relationship with Suns managing partner Robert Sarver. Fitzgerald, 36, had already taken on a significant ambassador's role with the Suns.

Fitzgerald has already sat in on interviews with potential front-office candidates and also canvassed for a Suns public arena vote.

"I have a special place in my heart for the Phoenix Suns and Mercury, and I have a great deal of respect for Robert," Fitzgerald said in a statement. "He has become a dear friend and trusted confidante. He is a big part of why I am making this commitment."

Fitzgerald became a season ticket holder with the Suns since 2005.

The Phoenix Suns have signed Tariq Owens to a two-way contract.

Owens has played this season with the Suns’ NBA G League affiliate, the Northern Arizona Suns, averaging 9.0 points on 55.0% shooting from the field and 82.8% from the free throw line plus 7.7 rebounds and 1.5 blocks in 24.3 minutes. Owens leads the NAZ Suns with five double-doubles for the season and ranks 12th in the G League in total blocks and 15th in total rebounds.

The 6-10, 205-pound forward was on the Suns’ roster during the preseason and at 2019 NBA Summer League in Las Vegas.

Frank Kaminsky will be out indefinitely due to a right patella stress fracture, the team announced.

Kaminsky will be re-evaluated in 4 weeks.

The 26-year-old, who signed a 2-year, $10 million contract with the Suns in the offseason, is averaging 11.0 points and 4.9 rebounds.
