The Portland Trail Blazers will keep Pat Connaughton on their roster for the 17-18 season.

The Blazers had until Thursday afternoon to waive Connaughton before his $1.4 million salary for 17-18 became guaranteed.

Connaughton was a second round pick in 2015.

The Blazers now have 14 guaranteed contracts on the roster with less than a month to go until training camp and are likely done dealing before the start of the regular season.

The Portland Trail Blazers have waived Andrew Nicholson using the stretch provision.

The Blazers will spread Nicholson's remaining salary over the next several seasons.

Nicholson was acquired by the Blazers as part of the Allen Crabbe trade.

Nicholson signed a four-year, $26 million deal with the Washington Wizards in 2016 and he was later included in the Bojan Bogdanovic deal.

Neil Olshey has agreed upon a contract extension with the Portland Trail Blazers to remain with the franchise through 2021.

Olshey was entering the final guaranteed year of his contract extension signed in 2015.

The Blazers hired Olshey from the Los Angeles Clippers in 2012. Olshey was responsible for drafting Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum.

The Atlanta Hawks were denied permission to interview Olshey this year on their general manager vacancy.

CJ Wilcox has agreed upon a two-day deal with the Portland Trail Blazers.

Wilcox was a first round pick by the Los Angeles Clippers in 2014 out of Washington. 

Wilcox spent last season with the Orlando Magic, averaging 4.9 minutes per game in 22 appearances.
