Ed Davis received interest from the Golden State Warriors, Philadelphia 76ers, Oklahoma City Thunder and Portland Trail Blazers before agreeing to a one-year, $4.4 million deal with the Brooklyn Nets.

“The main thing is they definitely came out aggressive when July 1 hit, so I definitely wanted to go to where I was wanted, so that had a lot to do with it,” Davis said on a conference call. “Then, I talked to Allen (Crabbe) and Jeremy (Lin) a little bit about the coaching staff and things like that and how the organization was run, and it was nothing but great things. Then, I think this team has potential definitely. We can try to make this push into the playoffs this year, and it’s going to be a challenge, but that’s one of the reasons why I’m here.”

The Portland Trail Blazers have waived center Georgios Papagiannis.

Papagiannis, 21, appeared in one game for the Trail Blazers during the 2017-18 season, recording two points, one rebound and two steals in four minutes.

Signed by the Trail Blazers to a 10-day contract on March 8, 2018 and a standard NBA contract on March 18, 2018, Papagiannis holds career averages of 4.1 points, 3.2 rebounds and 12.2 minutes in 39 games with Portland and Sacramento.

Kawhi Leonard is seriously considering attending USA Basketball national team's minicamp in Las Vegas next week. Leonard holds some enthusiasm for showcasing his revitalized health in the wake of the quad injury that has been at the center of discord between the Spurs and him, sources said.  

Gregg Popovich will lead the camp in his role as national team coach.

Leonard continues to seek a trade from the San Antonio Spurs.

A bidding war among the Boston Celtics, Philadelphia 76ers and Los Angeles Lakers never materialized. The Los Angeles Clippers, Denver Nuggets, Phoenix Suns, Portland Trail Blazers, Toronto Raptors and Washington Wizards are among teams who've talked with the Spurs, league sources said.

The Celtics and 76ers appear to have lost traction in their appetite to trade for Leonard as they're well-positioned for the future regardless. The Lakers appear to be playing the longer game in trade talks.

The Spurs have yet to allow prospective trade partners to talk directly with Leonard or his reps.

Jusuf Nurkic and the Portland Trail Blazers agreed upon a four-year, $48 million deal.

In Year 4, only $4 million is guaranteed to Nurkic.

The Blazers acquired Nurkic in a trade with the Denver Nuggets involving Mason Plumlee. Plumlee signed last offseason on a three-year, $41 million contract.

Damian Lillard spoke publicly to the media on Sunday for the first time this offseason. Lillard rejected suggestions he's attempting to leave the Portland Trail Blazers via trade.

"I'm not unhappy," Lillard said. "I love where I live. I love the organization. I love our coaching staff. I love where I am."

The Blazers haven't done much this offseason due to their lack of cap space.

"It's going to be a battle," Lillard said. "The way I see it, you're going to have the Golden State's, the Rockets. We were the third best team in the West and every other team behind us, they brought their guys back. So they're going to be one more year experienced together, probably going to be a little bit better. Teams like Denver, Utah and Minnesota, all those teams are going to be improved. So, us, we can't look at free agency and who we didn't get and (say) we didn't make this trade and all that stuff. Once the season starts, we've got to go. And we've got to do what we've got to do ... we've just got to find a way to make it happen."

Jusuf Nurkic has agreed upon a four-year contract worth between $48 million and $53 million with the Portland Trail Blazers.

Nurkic was a restricted free agent.

The Blazers acquired Nurkic ahead of the 2017 trade deadline in a trade with the Denver Nuggets.

Gary Trent Jr. has agreed upon a three-year guaranteed rookie deal with the Portland Trail Blazers.

Trent was the 37th overall pick out of Duke by the Blazers.

Seth Curry has agreed upon a two-year, $5.6 million deal with the Portland Trail Blazers.

Curry will join Portland's backcourt rotation with Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum.

Curry missed the entire 17-18 season with a fractured left tibia.

Curry averaged 12.8 points in 29 minutes a game and shot 42.5 percent from 3-point range for the Mavs in 16-17.

Mario Hezonja has agreed upon a one-year deal with the New York Knicks worth $6.5 million.

The Sacramento Kings, Memphis Grizzlies and Portland Trail Blazers also pursued Hezonja.

Nik Stauskas has agreed upon a one-year deal with the Portland Trail Blazers worth the minimum.

Stauskas was traded by the Philadelphia 76ers to the Brooklyn Nets last season.

Stauskas was the eighth overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft out of Michigan.
