The Sacramento Kings offered the Los Angeles Lakers a package of Nemanja Bjelica and a draft pick for Kyle Kuzma, league sources told Kevin O'Connor of The Ringer.

The Lakers countered by asking for Bogdan Bogdanovic, which the Kings refused.

The Ringer adds that the Kings have declined other offers for Bogdanovic.

Bogdanovic, a restricted free agent this summer, is averaging 14.6 points and 3.3 assists on the season.

The Sacramento Kings are open to reconciling with Dewayne Dedmon.

Dedmon fell out of the rotation with the Kings and he subsequently has sought a trade both privately and publicly. Dedmon was fined $50,000 for his comments.

“I would like to be traded,” Dedmon said. “I haven’t been playing, so I would like to go somewhere where my talents are appreciated.”

The Kings have been listening to trade offers for Dedmon, but are only prepared to execute a trade that makes sense for them.

Dedmon signed a three-year, $40 million contract in July with the Kings.

Buddy Hield scored 21 points after getting benched before the Sacramento Kings' 98-81 win over the Chicago Bulls.

Luke Walton, who started Bogdan Bogdanovic over Hield, said he was looking to shake up the lineup following their recent struggles.

"We're a team and we're struggling to win games right now, so we're looking to see if different groups give us a better chance of doing that, so there's nothing permanent with it," said Walton after the game.

Hield said he was going to remain professional despite the benching. 

"[You] look at it professionally man. You come in and be ready and when coach calls your number you got out there and hoop," added Hield.

The Sacramento Kings are searching for a way to unload Dewayne Dedmon, league sources told Adrian Wojnarowski.

Dedmon, who signed a 3-year, $40 million deal, was recently fined for publicly requesting a trade.

The Kings most recently acquired Kent Bazemore and Anthony Tolliver.

Kent Bazemore will not pursue a buyout with the Sacramento Kings due to his relationship with Luke Walton, league sources told Chris Haynes of Yahoo! Sports.

Bazemore was traded along with Anthony Tolliver to the Kings for Trevor Ariza, Caleb Swanigan, and Wenyen Gabriel. 

Bazemore is averaging 7.9 points and 4.0 rebounds on the season.

The Portland Trail Blazers traded Kent Bazemore, Anthony Tolliver, and 2 second-round picks to the Sacramento Kings for Trevor Ariza, Wendell Gabriel, and Caleb Swanigan, reported Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

The Blazers save $12.3 million on the deal, cutting their luxury tax bill in half. 

Luka Doncic reiterated his stance he thought he would be drafted by the Sacramento Kings.

“They came to Madrid (to see him play for Real Madrid and to share a dinner on June 5, 2018)," Doncic told The Athletic about the Kings’ contingent’s visit during the draft process. “They came with the owner. Everybody came, so I honestly thought they were going to pick me.”

Doncic was then asked if it has been made clear to him why they decided to draft Marvin Bagley instead of him at No. 2 in 2018.

“I mean, I think it’s because of Euroleague; it’s different basketball,” Doncic said. “I was averaging in Europe — in the Spanish League — like 12 points (per game). And in Euroleague 14 (points per game). So it’s different basketball.”

Richaun Holmes will miss the next 2-3 weeks after suffering an injury to his right shoulder joint. 

The 26-year-old Holmes is averaging 13.1 points and 8.5 rebounds per game this season.

The Sacramento Kings are willing to let their situation with Bogdan Bogdanovic play out into the offseason in which he'll be a restricted free agent, sources tell Sam Amick of The Athletic.

The Kings signed Buddy Hield to an extension before the start of the season, which makes keeping Bogdanovic problematic due to their overlap.

The Kings would still like to push for a playoff spot and they view Bogdanovic as a key part of that.

Bogdanovic will be a restricted free agent this offseason and a source says he's not ruling out considering the Kings long-term.

The Kings have no interest in a Bogdanovic for Kyle Kuzma trade.

The Sacramento Kings have interest in trading for Kyle Kuzma of the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Kings would likely need to include pending free agent Bogdan Bogdanovic as part of a deal for Kuzma.

Luke Walton coached Kuzma for two seasons with the Lakers.

While the Lakers remain high on Kuzma by all accounts, his fit with LeBron James and Anthony Davis has been widely questioned.
