Pascal Siakam Upgraded To Questionable For Monday's Game

Nov 27, 2022 1:29 PM

Toronto Raptors forward Pascal Siakam hasn't played since November 4 against the Dallas Mavericks. In that game, Siakam suffered a strained groin and he's been out since.

Now, it looks like the Raptors All-Star is closing in on a return. Toronto upgraded Siakam to questionable for Monday's game against the Cleveland Cavaliers. It was also reported that Siakam has fully practiced in recent days with no setbacks.

Toronto went 5-5 during Siakam's 10-game absence. The Raptors have also been dealing with injuries and illnesses for multiple rotation players during that same stretch.

Nick Nurse Settles Lawsuit With Warren LeGarie Over Commission Fees

Nov 18, 2022 3:02 PM

Nick Nurse has settled a lawsuit filed against him by his former agent Warren LeGarie, according to court documents. The lawsuit was centered on LeGarie’s commission on a contract extension signed by Nurse with the Toronto Raptors. LeGarie filed the lawsuit against Nurse in 2021.

Nurse signed a four-year extension with the Raptors in 2020, which elevated his compensation for the final year of the existing deal and added three more seasons at $8 million per season. Nurse left LeGarie to sign with Andy Miller of Klutch Sports shortly before the contract was signed.

After the two parties were unable to reach a resolution via arbitration in the summer, the lawsuit was scheduled to go to a jury trial in February with Nurse, LeGarie, Masai Ujiri and Bobby Webster among the parties expected to testify.

Nurse hired LeGarie as his agent in 2013 when he joined the Raptors as an assistant coach. LeGarie is one of the most prominent agents for coaches and front office executives in the NBA.

Pascal Siakam Out Indefinitely With Adductor Strain

Nov 6, 2022 10:52 AM

Pascal Siakam was off to a terrific start for the Toronto Raptors. Now, the Raptors will be without their All-NBA forward for a while.

Siakam suffered a strained right adductor in Toronto's loss to the Dallas Mavericks on Friday night. Siakam was seen visibly limping as he exited the floor. The Raptors are saying Siakam will be out indefinitely, and will be re-evaluated in two weeks.

Toronto has a lot of forward depth, but they'll be tested without their best all-around player. Siakam has averaged 24.8 points, 9.3 rebounds and 7.7 assists per game in the season's first nine games. All of those marks are career-best for the seven-year veteran.
