Mo Williams is out indefinitely and will miss Wednesday's game against the Golden State Warriors because of a "severely sprained" right thumb.

Williams, who will miss his sixth game of the season, is averaging 12.9 points and 6.7 assists this season.

Jamaal Tinsley will start for the Utah Jazz in Williams' place.

"When you get an opportunity to play more minutes," Tinsley said, "you have to take advantage of it and hold it down until [Williams] comes back."

Mo Williams suffered a sprained right thumb on Saturday.

Williams will undergo an MRI to determine the severity of the injury.

"It's going back to the feeling I had when I tore it (in 2008). It’s the same feeling," Williams said. "I'm just crossing my fingers that the MRI is negative."

The Los Angeles Lakers have paused their pursuit of Raja Bell with the point guard position being their short-term priority.

Bell is waiting to agree to a buyout with the Utah Jazz until he secures a guaranteed contract for the rest of the season.

The Chicago Bulls are offering Bell a non-guaranteed contract, according to sources.

An ultrasound on Derrick Favors confirmed that he has plantar fasciitis in his right foot.

Favors also underwent an MRI, but it was inconclusive.

Favors did not play for the second straight game on Monday.
