Alec Burks underwent successful surgery on his fractured left fibula.

Burks will remain in Salt Lake City to begin his rehabilitation, and will then accompany the team on road trips once he is cleared to travel. He will be out indefinitely, and further updates will be provided when appropriate. 

He suffered the injury in a fall after being fouled during a shot attempt against the Los Angeles Clippers on Dec. 26.

Alec Burks has suffered an ankle fracture and will likely miss a minimum of six weeks.

Burks suffered the injury when fouled by Paul Pierce, landing awkwardly.

The Utah Jazz have suffered a number of injuries this season beginning with Dante Exum in the summer.

Rudy Gobert is out indefinitely with a left knee injury but he won't need surgery.

Gobert sustained the injury during Wednesday's practice at Zions Bank Basketball Center. Gobert then underwent magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).

Following the examination, Jazz physicians Dr. Travis Maak and Dr. David Petron determined that Gobert suffered a Grade II sprain of the medial collateral ligament (MCL) in his left knee.
