Celtics Should Have Had Extra Second At End Of Game 6

May 14, 2017 3:37 AM

The Last Two Minute Report indicated that the Boston Celtics should have had an extra second on the clock to run a final play in their loss to the Washington Wizards in Game 6.

John Wall hit a go-ahead 3-pointer with 3.5 seconds to go and, with a foul to give.

Isaiah Thomas missed an off-balance three-pointer that would have won the game for the Celtics.

The league also noted: "Instant replay is not permitted in this situation."

Markieff Morris: Celtics Can't Do 'Funeral' Attire Like Us

May 13, 2017 3:42 AM

The Boston Celtics showed up for Game 6 wearing all black for the "funeral" of the Washington Wizards but John Wall extended the series with his clutch three-pointer.

In January, the Wizards showed up to Verizon Center wearing all black for a rivalry game against the Celtics and won the game.

“They just tryna be like us, they just want to be us so bad, man,” Markieff Morris said. “They can’t. There’s only one Death Row DC, and they can’t do it like we can do it.”

Brad Stevens didn't want to engage on the topic before the game when asked.

“They don’t consult me on fashion, surprisingly. Nor do I get the memo,” said Stevens.

Kelly Oubre Suspended For Game 4

May 6, 2017 2:38 PM

Kelly Oubre has been suspended by the NBA for Game 4.

After being hit by an illegal screen from Olynyk early in the second quarter Thursday, Oubre charged at Olynyk and knocked him to the ground and put his forearm in his chest.

Oubre was assessed a flagrant 2 and ejected.

Oubre said Friday that he retaliated against Olynyk because he had been hit repeatedly by him.

"I've been hit in the head multiple times by the same person," Oubre told reporters. "I've confronted [Olynyk] about it. The last time it happened, I fell, I felt pain in my head and my jaw, and I got up and I ran to him and I bumped him."

Markieff Morris To Play In Game 2, Ask Al Horford About Play On Injury

May 2, 2017 11:46 AM

Markieff Morris said he will play in Game 2 despite spraining his ankle badly in Game 1.

“I’m playing tomorrow. It’s final,” Morris said with conviction Monday afternoon. “There’s nothing the doctors can say to me for me not to be able to play.”

Morris landed on the foot of Al Horford after attempting a jump shot.

Morris was asked if he felt Horford undercut him.

“I’m not sure. I’m [going to] ask him though.”

“I’ve looked at it a couple times,” Morris said about the replay of the injury. “It’s not really that pretty so, couldn’t really watch it too much.”
