Thomas Bryant Makes 14 Field Goals Without Missing In Perfect Shooting Game

Dec 23, 2018 2:37 AM

Thomas Bryant shot a perfect 14 for 14 from the field and made all three of his free throws in the Washington Wizards' 149-146 triple-overtime win over the Phoenix Suns.

The 21-year-old Bryant, who replaced Dwight Howard in the Wizards' rotation, finished with a career-high 31 points and 13 rebounds, also a career-high.

Only one player in NBA history - Wilt Chamberlain - attempted more shots from the floor without missing.

"[Thomas] plays his tale off every minute. Energy, finishing at the rim, rebounding, blocking shots, contesting shots. Being up on pick and rolls, making it tough. He did everything we needed him to do,” said Bradley Beal.

Bryant also finished with a true shooting percentage of 101%.

Trevor Ariza, Suns Made 'Mutual' Decision To Part Ways

Dec 18, 2018 11:01 AM

The trade of Trevor Ariza was a "mutual" decision between Ariza and the Phoenix Suns, according to sources.

Ariza wanted a trade from the Suns after signing a one-year, $15 million deal in July.

Sources say Ariza checked out mentally early in the season as the team struggled.

Phoenix attempted to trade Ariza back to the Los Angeles Lakers, but that move was not something Robert Sarver wanted to make following their buyout of Tyson Chandler and his eventual signing with the Lakers.

The Suns will face Ariza on Saturday when they visit the Wizards.

Suns Trade Trevor Ariza To Wizards For Kelly Oubre, Austin Rivers

Dec 15, 2018 12:30 PM

The Phoenix Suns have agreed to trade Trevor Ariza to the Washington Wizards for Kelly Oubre and Austin Rivers.

The deal was reworked after the Suns and Memphis Grizzlies disagreed on the inclusion of either MarShon Brooks or Dillon Brooks.

Ariza signed a one-year, $15 million deal with the Suns during the offseason and became trade-eligible on Saturday.

Ariza and his agent, Aaron Mintz of CAA, had hoped that the Los Angeles Lakers could complete a deal with the Suns. Robert Sarver became more sensitive about trading Ariza to the Lakers following the criticism the Suns received after buying out Chandler to allow him to join the Lakers.

The Wizards weren't expecting to have enough flexibility to re-sign Oubre in restricted free agency.
