Amile Jefferson Hopes To Choose School Next Week

Amile Jefferson hopes to make his final decision by next week.

“It’s been tough,” Jefferson said. “We’re trying to set a date now. Hopefully by next week, I can finally make a decision…I need that comfort level, when I just know.”

Jefferson is considering Kentucky, Duke, Ohio State, North Carolina State and Villanova.

Amedeo Della Valle Commits To Ohio State

Amedeo Della Valle signed a letter of intent with Ohio State.

Delle Valle, a 6-foot-4 sharpshooter out of Las Vegas Findlay Prep, chose the Buckeyes over Texas A&M and Arizona.

Ohio State has three scholarships available for next season and is known to be targeting two freshman transfers from the SEC, power forward Anthony Gill and wing forward Rodney Hood.

Allerik Freeman Expands List To Include Duke, UCLA, Ohio State

Allerik Freeman has expanded his list of potential college destinations to include Duke, UCLA, and Ohio State.

“Like most kids he had a change of heart and added UCLA and Ohio State,” Freeman’s high school coach, Ty Baumgardner said.

“Just in the last couple of weeks, Duke has shown some interest. Coach [Chris] Collins and Al have had some communication through email. Word is Coach K is going to watch him this weekend.”

Freeman, a 6-foot-3, 195-pound guard out of Charlotte, NC., is also considering Villanova and Kansas.

Rodney is planning a recruiting visit to Ohio State, his father, Ricky, confirmed.

Hood, rated as a top 30 prospect in the class of 2011, recently opted to transfer from Mississippi State after averaging 10.3 points and 4.8 rebounds during his freshman season.

Hood played AAU basketball with Ohio State freshman LaQuinton Ross.

Tony Parker has narrowed his focus down to Ohio State, Kansas, Duke, UCLA and Georgia.

Parker eliminated Memphis and Georgetown from consideration and plans to make his decision late next week.

“I haven’t worked out all of the details yet, but next week is the week,” said Parker. “I’m just ready to get it over with. It’s been a long process, and I’m ready for it to be over. I’m still weighing things out, but I gave myself 'til next week. That’s when it’s happening.”

Tony Parker Unlikely To Sign On April 11

Tony Parker is unlikely to make his college decision on Wednesday – the first day of the spring signing period which runs through May 16.

“What I’m getting from his family is that there’s a good chance it won’t be Wednesday,” said Parker's Miller Grove High School coach, Sharman White.

“I don’t think he’s just quite ready. He’s trying to figure out the last intricate parts of this decision … so he can make the best choice.”

The 6-foot-9, 280-pound power forward is seriously considering Duke, Georgia, Ohio State, Kansas, UCLA, Memphis and Georgetown.

Deshaun Thomas announced he will return to Ohio State next season after putting up 15.9 points and 5.4 rebounds this season.

"My family, my coaches and I looked at my future as a professional but I love being a Buckeye and want to continue my education and development as a player and as a person at Ohio State,” Thomas said in a statement released by the school. "If I do have an opportunity to play basketball professionally, I want to have an immediate impact. Working with my teammates and coaches at Ohio State will help me achieve my future goals."

Thomas was not projected as a first round pick in the June 28 draft.
