Joel Embiid has moved from a 2-1 underdog to an odds-on favorite to be NBA Most Valuable Player this season.

The odds began to shift on Tuesday when the Brooklyn Nets beat the Denver Nuggets.

By Thursday, Jokic and Embiid were co-favorites at Caesars, but Embiid is the outright favorite at other sportsbooks such as DraftKings and PointsBet.

Over the past week at Caesars Sportsbook, 85% of the bets and 79% of the money wagered on the MVP market has been on Embiid.

Alabama enters the 2023 NCAA tournament as the overall top seed and is joined by other No. 1 seeds in Kansas, Houston and Purdue.

Houston, however, has the best odds of winning the championship at +550, followed by Kansas and Alabama at +800, and Purdue at +1100.

The Jayhawks are attempting to be the first back-to-back winners since Florida in 2007.
