The Cleveland Cavaliers turned around their season with two trades that brought Timofey Mozgov, J.R. Smith and Iman Shumpert to their team.

"He is so excited about the talent on this team," said Brian Windhorst. "He loves playing with Mozgov. He loves J.R. Smith. He was the guy who pushed for that trade. The Cavs were trying to get Shumpert; that's what the conversations were and of course the Knicks were saying 'we'll give you Shumpert, but you have to take J.R.' They went to LeBron and he said 'No, you get J.R. and if you get Shumpert with him that's great.' He, I think, really loves their top-7."

Smith has a .563 True Shooting Percentage since coming to the Cavaliers after posting a .487 mark with the New York Knicks.

The Boston Celtics received offers from multiple teams at the trade deadline of low first round picks and expiring contracts for Avery Bradley.

Bradley is on the first year of a new contract signed last offseason.

Avery is one of the NBA's best perimeter defenders and is a competent three-point shooter.

Steve Nash was ready to call it a career, but the Los Angeles Lakers asked Nash not to announce anything in order to try to trade his contract, according to sources.

The Lakers hoped they could trade Nash's $9.7 million salary, not only an expiring contract but also a giant coupon for another club to take and immediately save real dollars via insurance.

Nash remains set to finish his NBA career.

Nash has helped tutor Jordan Clarkson and intends to remain part of the Lakers' organization as he will continue living in the area.

Sam Presti was asked about the idea that the Oklahoma City Thunder would consider trading away Kevin Durant.

Durant will be a free agent in 2016.

"It's ludicrous to assert that we would trade Kevin," said Presti to Darnell Mayberry.

"There's no way to measure what he represents to our organization on and off the floor. He has helped build this organization from the ground up and personifies the Thunder: past, present and future. When he's done playing there will be streets named after him throughout the state and younger generations of Oklahomans will learn about the role Kevin has played in elevating this community in ways beyond basketball."

The Utah Jazz and Golden State Warriors reportedly had serious discussions at the deadline on a trade involving David Lee.

The Warriors are considering moving the final year of Lee's contract due to cap concerns and his reduced role following the emergence of Draymond Green.

The Warriors and Jazz agreed upon a cap saving trade in 2013 when Utah took on the contracts of Andris Biedrins, Richard Jefferson and Brandon Rush.
