The Washington Wizards hired Johnny Rogers in a newly created position of VP of Pro Personnel, league sources told Adrian Wojnarowski and Zach Lowe of ESPN.

Rogers was previously an executive for the Clippers. 

Rogers has a strong scouting reputation built through his time with the Thunder and Clippers, according to Wojnarowski. 

The Oklahoma City Thunder waived guard Donte Grantham.

Grantham played in three games last season for the Thunder.

Tommy Sheppard will be the next general manager for the Washington Wizards, league sources told Candace Buckner of The Washington Post.

Sheppard had been operating on an interim basis since Ernie Grunfeld was fired in early April. Sheppard has been with the team for close to 20 years.

Sheppard will be officially unveiled on Monday.

The New Orleans Pelicans waived Christian Wood, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic. 

The 23-year-old Wood 23 games for the Bucks and Pelicans last season.

Wood averaged 16.9 points in 8 games with the Pelicans. 

Anthony Bennett agreed to a non-guaranteed deal with the Houston Rockets that includes a training camp invite, league sources told Shams Charania of The Athletic and Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle.

Bennett averaged 12.2 points per game with the Agua Caliente Clippers in the G-League last year.

The Memphis Grizzlies signed Tyus Jones to a three-year, $24 million offer sheet, league sources told Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Jones is a restricted free agent of the Timberwolves.

Adrian Wojnarowski reported that Grizzlies were able to sign Jones to the offer sheet after creating cap flexibility by trading Delon Wright to the Mavs earlier in the day.
