Rajon Rondo was ejected from Game 1 and may be suspended from Game 2 after bumping referee Marc Davis.
Rond's ejection came with 41 seconds remaining in Boston's 83-74 loss to the Hawks.
“Obviously I was upset about the call and I said some words to Marc,” Rondo said. “I deserved the first tech, and as I was walking I thought he stopped, my momentum carried me into him – I even think I tripped on his foot. I didn’t intentionally chest-bump him. But that’s what it appears to be.”
Metta World Peace has been suspended seven games by the NBA.
World Peace will miss the final Lakers' game of the regular season and their first six playoff games. If the Lakers play fewer than six playoff games, the suspension will carryover into the 12-13 regular season.
World Peace elbowed James Harden to the head on Sunday.
The Hawks have sent Ivan Johnson back to Atlanta due to conduct detrimental to the team.
Johnson will miss Friday's game in Orlando against the Magic.
Johnson is expected to rejoin the Hawks on Saturday for practice.
Chris Duhon was suspended for Monday's game against the Pistons after missing the morning shootaround. Duhon did not contact team officials until after the shootaround had ended.
“Chris had some personal issues that came up and he had to take care of that,” said Duhon's agent, Kevin Bradbury. “But he's got everything on the right track now.”
Ish Smith played in Duhon's place.
