Brandon Ingram Leaves Game With Soreness In Right Knee

Oct 29, 2016 8:16 AM

Brandon Ingram left the Los Angeles Lakers' loss on Friday to the Utah Jazz with a sore right knee.

Ingram will be re-evaluated on Saturday.

"There's no way we're going to get him out there playing again until we know 100 percent that there's nothing wrong with his knee," Luke Walton said.

Ingram felt soreness in the first half when he tried to run but later said it is "nothing really serious."

Ben Simmons Hasn't Considered Sitting Out Entire Season

Oct 27, 2016 9:28 AM

Ben Simmons hasn't considered sitting out his entire rookie season after undergoing surgery for a Jones fracture of his fifth metatarsal in training camp.

"First guy I did speak to was KD [Kevin Durant]," Simmons told media before the 76ers' home opener against Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday night. "He had something similar [and] he just said, 'Listen, get advice from everybody and [you'll] be good.' It's good to reach out to people like that that have gone through it."

Brett Brown said Simmons could return in January but later walked that back.

"I was just getting excited about how soon he might be able to come back," Brown said. "There is so much speculation and dates as a coach you sort of want to hear what you want to hear at a time. I did mention a January hopeful return. That is premature. [...] That is a coach doing a lot more wishing than receiving instruction. So we will play this out. Everything is on track with his rehabilitation."

Simmons doesn't have a return date.

"I'll come back when I'm ready," he said.

"There's no timetable to getting healthy. I'm just working hard to get back and as soon as they tell me I can play, I'll get out there."

Derrick Favors To Miss Utah's Season Opener

Oct 25, 2016 2:09 PM

Derrick Favors will miss the regular season opener for the Utah Jazz against the Portland Trail Blazers due to a bone bruise and IT band soreness in his left knee.

Favors missed Utah's final five preseason games and was only able to participate in a limited capacity in Utah's final two practices.

Boris Diaw will likely start at power forward in place of Favors and second-year forward Trey Lyles should see an increase in minutes.

Utah is also without Gordon Hayward and Alec Burks.

Oct 23, 2016 11:51 AM

Noel's surgery will address an inflamed plica above his left knee.

Jared Sullinger Out Indefinitely With Foot Injury

Oct 21, 2016 8:37 PM

Jared Sullinger could be out indefinitely with a foot injury.

Sullinger was projected to be the Toronto Raptors' starting power forward.

“Jared is still sore. He may be a little while before he comes back,” Dwane Casey said ahead of his team’s final preseason game against the Wizards.

“He may get checked out to see what else is going on, but he’s not going to go tonight.”

Sullinger had his left foot stepped on in the first preseason game and hasn’t played since.

“We’ll get it checked out and see what it is,” Casey said. “He worked out (Thursday). He’ll get it looked at and see what’s going on because he’s been sore for a while now.”
