LeBron James is expected to return from his high ankle sprain as soon as Friday's game against the Sacramento Kings.

James has been out since March 20th with the injury.

James plans to test the ankle and make a game-time decision. If James sits Friday's game, he's likely to return as soon as Sunday against the Toronto Raptors. 

Kristaps Porzingis exited Thursday night's 115-105 win over the Detroit Pistons because of soreness in his right knee.

Porzingis had missed the previous three games due to a sprained left ankle. 

"We'll hope for the best," Rick Carlisle said, noting that Porzingis seemed to be walking fine after the game. "We'll hope that it's not any kind of a serious issue and go from there."

Porzingis had surgery in October to address the lateral meniscus injury in his right knee that he suffered during the playoff

Giannis Antetokounmpo suffered a right ankle sprain after just 46 seconds in the Milwaukee Bucks' 143-136 loss to the Houston Rockets.

Antetokounmpo appeared to step on the foot of Kelly Olynyk on a driving layup. 

Antetokounmpo entered the game listed as probable with a right ankle sprain.

Mike Budenholzer said the new injury was a sprain and that the team is hopeful it's not serious.

Kevin Huerter is set to miss Friday's game against the Philadelphia 76ers due to a sprained left shoulder. 

An MRI confirmed the injury, which Huerter suffered on Monday. 

It is unknown how long Huerter will miss due to the injury.

Huerter is averaging 12.3 points on the season. 

LeBron James could return to game action from his high ankle sprain next week.

James could debut either on Monday against the Denver Nuggets, on Thursday against the Los Angeles Clippers, or Friday against the Portland Trail Blazers.

James has missed the past 20 games.

“He’ll tell me when he’s ready,” Frank Vogel said. “He and the medical team will tell me when he’s ready. They’re having conversations about it each day. They’re monitoring his progression each day, seeing where he’s at and when he’s ready to play, he’ll play.”

Jarrett Culver has been ruled out for the remainder of the season with a right ankle injury. 

Culver initially suffered a right ankle injury on Jan. 25 and was evaluated by Dr. Aaron Krych at Mayo Clinic Square. After an initial period of non-operative management and continued symptoms, imaging revealed a loose body and the decision was made to proceed with operative management. Culver will undergo arthroscopic surgery with debridement of scar tissue and loose body performed by ankle specialist Dr. Richard Ferkel on Friday, May 7 in Los Angeles. 

In 34 games (seven starts) this season, Culver is averaging 5.3 points on 41.1% shooting, 3.1 rebounds and 0.7 assists.

Kyrie Irving will miss Thursday's game due to right groin soreness.

Irving has played in 46 games this season for a variety of reasons.

The San Antonio Spurs expect Derrick White to miss the rest of the season due to a sprained ankle.

"You can imagine his spirits are not high," said Gregg Popovich of White.

White, who suffered the injury on Monday, was averaging 15.4 points per game this season.

White is not expected to require surgery. 

Larry Nance Jr. will likely miss the rest of the season with a broken thumb.

Nance suffered the injury on Sunday against the Wizards.

Nance is averaging 9.3 points and 6.7 rebounds on the season.

The Cavs were also missing Collin Sexton due to a concussion suffered last week. There is no timetable for his return. 

John Wall will miss the remainder of the season due to a hamstring injury.

The Houston Rockets have 11 games remaining and plan to try out different lineups heading into the offseason.

Wall finishes his first season with the Rockets averaging 20.6 points, 3.2 rebounds and 6.9 assists in 32.2 minutes after missing the entire 19-20 season recovering from a torn Achilles.
