Michael Carter-Williams To Miss Start Of Season After Ankle Surgery

Michael Carter Williams will miss the start of the 2021-22 season following offseason surgery. Carter-Williams had surgery to remove a bone fragment and to repair a ligament in his left ankle. He's expected to make a full recovery, but his return to basketball activities is unknown at this point.

Carter-Williams is entering this fourth season with the Magic. He originally signed with Orlando on a 10 Day contract during the 2018-19 season. He's become a key backup guard and wing defender for the Magic over the past three seasons.

The 2014 Rookie of the Year is on the final year of his contract with Orlando. Carter-Williams is set to become an unrestricted free agent in the 2022 offseason. With the Magic having added several young guards in the past year, it's unknown what Carter-Williams' future will be in Orlando.

Jalen Green To Undergo MRI On Hamstring, Likely Out For Summer League

Jalen Green will likely miss the rest of the Summer League with a sore right hamstring.

The Houston Rockets will have Green undergo an MRI as a precaution, but they don't believe there is a "significant concern" with the injury.

Green scored 61 points in 72 summer league minutes, shooting 19-of-37 from the floor and 10-of-19 from 3-point range.

The Rockets selected Green with the No. 2 pick.

Aron Baynes In Hospital With Severe Nerve Damage In Neck, Could Miss 21-22 Season

Aron Baynes remains in the hospital with severe nerve damage in his neck. 

Baynes could miss the entire 21-22 season as the injury is more significant than initially diagnosed. 

Baynes remains an NBA free agent following his release by the Toronto Raptors.

Damian Lillard Played Through Abdomen Injury In Olympics, Will Undergo Tests

Damian Lillard played through an abdomen injury during the United States' gold medal run that will require further testing since he returns home.

Lillard wanted to continue playing to help the United States, but he struggled at times and shot just 38.3 percent from the field and 34.8 percent on three-pointers.

Lillard has also been the subject of trade rumors this offseason as he's cast doubt on his future with the Portland Trail Blazers for the first time in his career.

Chris Paul Undergoes Wrist Surgery, Expected To Be Ready For Training Camp

Chris Paul is expected to be ready for the start of training camp next season after having left wrist surgery. Paul had surgery shortly after The Finals.
