Bosh Uncertain For Olympics Due To Abdominal Strain

Jun 28, 2012 11:07 PM

Chris Bosh’s participation at the London Olympics is uncertain due to an abdominal strain that caused him to miss nine games during the playoffs.

“We’re going to talk about it,’’ Bosh’s agent, Henry Thomas, said. “I’m going to have a conversation (with Bosh on Friday) about it …. We’ll go more in-depth. I’d rather not talk about it until we talk about it.’’

Bosh was ultimately non-committal when speaking to the media earlier this week.

“Right now, that’s a conversation I have to have with the doctors and the trainers,’’ Bosh said about playing in the London. “I knew I wasn’t going to be 100 percent coming into my situation (when he returned from his injury in the playoffs). There was some pain I had to fight through. I think I have to get reassessed. They’re going to tell me what my options are and how we can work things out, and how we can move forward after that day… We’re going to have more conversations and see where it goes.’’

Scoop Jardine broke his food during a workout last Friday with the Jazz and was scheduled for surgery on Tuesday.

Parker Questionable For Olympics

Jun 24, 2012 5:25 PM

Tony Parker could miss the Olympics because he has not fully recovered from an injury to his left eye.

"As required by the Spurs, I will go back to the U.S. on July 5... I will visit a specialist in New York, hoping he will give the green light to compete at the Games," Parker said.

Parker will defer the decision to the Spurs.

"The Spurs are very worried,” he said. “Depending on the (examination) results, a withdrawal is possible. The decision is not mine anymore, it is up to the doctor and the Spurs."

“I couldn’t care less [about slipping in mock drafts]. Like I said, half of y’all never played basketball a day in your life. Maybe an open gym around the [recreational] or something but never organized basketball. It is what it is. If I’m slipping, I’m slipping. That’s fine with me.”
