Donnie Walsh will look to acquire a first-round pick in order to satisfy one of Denver's requirements for a Carmelo Anthony trade.  The Nuggets recently told the Knicks they will need to include a pick before a deal for Anthony is possible.

"I need to go out and see if I can get one," Walsh said. "I don't know how to do that. You always want to keep first-round picks."

At present, the next first-round pick the Knicks can send to Denver is their 2014 selection but presumably the Nuggets are interested in an earlier pick.

"I didn't like doing it," Walsh said about trading the Knicks' 2012 pick to Houston in February in order to shed the contract of Jared Jeffries. "The night before, I felt I don't like doing this, but we're going to do it. I'll second-guess myself."
