Bill Self: Josh Jackson Has Great IQ Both On, Off Court

Nov 8, 2016 3:01 PM

Josh Jackson is considered one of the more mature prospects of the 2017 NBA Draft class. Jackson is a wing but has many point guard style attributes with his vision and passing.

Bill Self describes Jackson as a "very deep thinker, ridiculously bright and articulate."

"He has a great IQ both on the court and off the court," Self says. "It's way, way, way beyond his years."

Jackson also has a love for chess.

"I like thinking games," Jackson said.

"Chess forces you to think about the decisions you're making before you make them, after you make them. Just being able to think before you move, think about what happens if you do this or do that."
