The Miami Heat will sign Derrick Jones Jr. to a two-way contract.

Jones was released by the Phoenix Suns in early December. Jones has appeared in 38 games, all with the Suns, over his first two NBA seasons, averaging 4.7 points and 2.2 rebounds in an average of 15.2 minutes.

The Heat released Matt Williams Jr. from his two-way contract.

The Indiana Pacers announced Thursday they have signed forward Alex Poythress to a standard NBA contract. 

Poythress has been a two-way player this season, splitting time between the Pacers and the Fort Wayne Mad Ants of the G League. Poythress will no longer be a two-way player. He has appeared in 11 games for the Pacers this season.

The Portland Trail Blazers will assign Caleb Swanigan to the Canton Charge of the G League.

Swanigan has fallen out of Portland's rotation in November after even starting three games.

The Blazers selected Swanigan with the 26th overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft out of Purdue.

The Utah Jazz plan to sign Naz Long to a two-way contract.

Utah waived Nate Wolters from his two-way contract to create a spot for Long.

In 20 games in the G League this season, Long is averaging 15 points, 6.0 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game.

Long went undrafted out of Iowa State in 2017.

The Utah Jazz have waived Nate Wolters, who was on a two-way contract.

Wolters appeared in five games for the Jazz this season while also playing in another 13 in the G League.

Before the current season, Wolters last played in the NBA in 14-15.

The Cleveland Cavaliers have assigned Isaiah Thomas to the Canton Charge.

Thomas is on assignment in order to officially participate in the Charge full-team practice, slated for Thursday. 

The Dallas Mavericks have signed guard Kyle Collinsworth to a two-way contract. In a related move, the Mavericks requested waivers on guard-forward Antonius Cleveland and center Jeff Withey.

Collinsworth (6-6, 210) has spent the past two seasons with the Mavericks’ G League affiliate, the Texas Legends. He holds averages of 8.1 points, 7.6 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 1.7 steals and 30.1 minutes per game in 54 career G League games (34 starts). In 18 games (all starts) for the Legends in 2017-18, he averaged 11.4 points, 8.6 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 1.7 steals in 35.8 minutes per game.

After going undrafted in 2016 out of BYU, Collinsworth competed for Dallas at the 2016 NBA Summer League in Las Vegas. He spent the 2016 preseason with the Mavericks before being waived by the team on Oct. 22, 2016.

Trey Burke has been named Player of the Week in the G League.

Burke averaged 33.7 points last week to lead the Westchester Knicks to a 2-1 record.

Burke is second in the G League in scoring at 26.9 points per game.

The Milwaukee Bucks have assigned forward Jabari Parker to the Wisconsin Herd of the NBA G League. The Herd are scheduled to practice in Milwaukee today and tomorrow at the Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin Sports Science Center.

Parker played 51 games in the 2016-17 season and averaged 20.1 points (2nd on team), 6.2 rebounds (3rd on team), 2.8 assists (4th on team) and 1.0 steals in 33.9 minutes (2nd on team) per game. 

Parker sustained a left ACL injury on Feb. 8 and underwent surgery to repair it on Feb. 14.

The Atlanta Hawks have signed Tyler Cavanaugh to a two-year contract.

Cavanaugh was previously on a two-way contract with the Hawks.
