The G League is being "very aggressive" in approaching top recruits to fill out the 2022 Ignite roster, sources told Jonathan Givony of ESPN.

Top-10 prospects Jaden Hardy and Michael Foster are currently considered "leans" to join the team.

The G League is also making a push for top-ranked recruit Chet Holmgren, with five-star prospect Efton Reid also another possibility.

Givony adds that the progress of NCAA's name, image, and likeness legislation is a wild card in a player's decision to choose college over the G League. 

The Toronto Raptors have agreed to sign Donta Hall to a 10-day contract.

Hall was playing on the G League Ignite team.

The Cleveland Cavaliers have agreed to sign Broderic Thomas to a Two-Way contract.

Thomas went undrafted in 2020 and then was on a Two-Way contract with the Houston Rockets before he was waived on Feb. 12th.

The Santa Cruz Warriors have acquired Jacob Evans III from the G League player pool.

Evans started the 2020-21 G league season with the Erie Bayhawks.

Evans, 23, was originally selected by the Golden State Warriors with the 28th overall pick in the 2018 NBA draft.

To make room for Evans on the roster, the Warriors released forward Dwayne Sutton due to a season ending foot injury.

The Houston Rockets have agreed to sign Justin Patton to a Two-Way contract.

Patton was the 16th overall pick in the 2017 draft out of Creighton. 

Patton has only played nine career games in the NBA due to a number of foot injuries. 

Norvel Pelle has agreed to sign with the Canton Charge and enter the G League bubble.

The New York Knicks, Houston Rockets and Toronto Raptors were among the teams to express interest in Pelle. 

Pelle appeared in three games this season with the Brooklyn Nets before he was waived.

The Phoenix Suns assigned Jalen Smith to the G League on Monday.

The 20-year-old Smith has appeared in just eight games this season.

Smith will join the Agua Caliente Clippers, the G League affiliate of the Los Angeles Clippers.
