Team USA will not consider bringing back Carmelo Anthony on their roster, according to Shams Charania of Stadium.

“One player that the basketball community has talked about in terms of an addition is Carmelo Anthony...But I’m told Team USA will not go in that direction, will not consider that option," said Charania.

The comments were made following several high-profile players declining invitations to the Team USA training camp which starts in Las Vegas on August 5th. 

JJ Redick will not be joining the Team USA roster ahead of the FIBA World Cup.

Team USA lost several players from the roster this week, including James Harden and Damian Lillard.

Bam Adebayo will attend Team USA's training camp ahead of the FIBA World Cup, league sources told Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

Several players have declined the invite or pulled out of the camp entirely this week.

The training camp will be held in Las Vegas. 

JJ Redick is considering whether to accept an offer to join Team USA's training camp.

"I'm thrilled beyond belief to be considered but also trying to work through our family's transition to New Orleans," Redick told Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

The training camp begins on August 5th in Las Vegas.

Several top players have backed out of playing for Team USA in recent days. 

Team USA added Montrezl Harrell and Mason Plumlee to their training camp roster ahead of the FIBA World Cup, league sources told Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Charania added that Harrell is likely to turn down the opportunity due to scheduling conflicts.

The additions come following several high-profile players declined invitations to play for Team USA this summer. 

Kevin Love has withdrawn from USA Basketball for the World Cup.

Love was limited to just 22 games last season due to toe and shoulder injuries.

Jaylen Brown and Julius Randle were added to the Team USA training camp roster ahead of this summer's FIBA World Cup, league sources told Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Several players withdrew from Team USA in recent days, including DeMar DeRozan and Damian Lillard. 

DeMar DeRozan has withdrawn from Team USA basketball ahead of this summer's FIBA World Cup. 

DeRozan joins several NBA players who have left Team USA's training camp to focus on this upcoming season.

Donovan Mitchell intends on keeping his commitment to Team USA, according to Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports.

The FIBA Basketball World Cup begins on August 31st. 

Damian Lillard has withdrawn from Team USA's training camp and FIBA World Cup.

Lillard was one of the lone remaining All-Stars on the roster following a surge of withdraws. 

Team USA basketball added Marcus Smart to their training camp roster in preparation for the upcoming FIBA World Cup, league sources told Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Team USA also extended an invite to Thaddeus Young to participate in the training camp.

The moves come after several players recently dropped out of Team USA's training camp.
