Real Madrid secured a Final Four berth with its second road win in less than 48 hours against Darussafaka Dogus Istanbul on Friday night.

Luka Doncic was named MVP for Game 4 of the EuroLeague Playoffs. It marked the 18-year old's second consecutive MVP of the round award, after he shared the honor 48 hours earlier in Game 3.

Doncic has won the honor four times this season, second to only reigning EuroLeague MVP Nando De Colo of CSKA Moscow, who won six.

Doncic scored 11 points to go with 7 assists and 5 rebounds. He made his only two-point shot attempt, hit 1 of 4 from downtown and went 6 for 8 from the free throw line in addition to collecting 1 steal and 6 fouls drawn for a performance index rating of 21, the highest among all players in the two Game 4 contests.

Doncic is expected to be one of the top two picks in the 2018 NBA Draft.

When Lonzo Ball was younger he would watch footage of Magic Johnson, which symbolized the purity of the game for his family.

“I watched tape on Magic when I was young,” Ball told The Vertical, “and it’s why you can see it in my game. He liked to pass, I like to pass. He was a big point guard, I’m a big point guard. And I feel the way the game is played means a lot to him and me.”

The Los Angeles Lakers could be in position to draft Ball if they keep their pick.

“The Lakers are in L.A., and they’re close to home,” Ball told The Vertical. “This is where all my family is. Hopefully, they have a nice pick and they have a chance to get me. I want this to be realistic. Just being very family-oriented, to play in front of them would mean a lot to me. The Lakers are a young team and they have a lot of young talent.”

While Ball may prefer to stay close to home, he's prepared to play for whichever team selects him.

“I’ll play for anyone, all 30 teams,” Ball told The Vertical. “I want the challenge of helping turn around any team in the league. Just making it to the NBA, that’s my goal.”

Ball's father, LaVar Ball, has become a celebrity in his own right with his outsized personality.

“That’s who he’s been since I was a kid,” Ball told The Vertical about his father.

Ball believes he could change the way free agents perceive the Lakers if he ends up there.

“That’s the culture I want: to enter a situation and help my team win,” Ball told The Vertical. “I’ll do whatever I can for wins. It’s what I did when I was at Chino Hills. It’s what I did at UCLA. It’s what I’ll do again at the next level. Just do what I can to help my team win and make players around me better.”

Ball would love the opportunity to learn directly from Magic.

“I can learn a lot from Magic, and it would be a blessing for me to be able to take after him each and every day,” Ball told The Vertical. “Magic is probably the best guard to ever play the game. The fact that he also played as a big guard, he can show me things.

“I would love to have that sit-down and learn to be the best player I can be.”

The National Basketball Association announced today that 182 players -- 137 players from colleges and 45 international players -- have filed as early entry candidates for the 2017 NBA Draft.

Players wishing to enter the 2017 NBA Draft were required to submit a letter to the NBA to be received no later than Sunday, April 23. Players who have applied for early entry have the right to withdraw their names from consideration for the Draft by notifying the NBA of their decision in writing no later than 5 p.m. ET on Monday, June 12. Under NCAA rules, in order to retain college basketball eligibility, underclassmen that have entered the 2017 Draft must withdraw by Wednesday, May 24.

Magic Johnson will represent the team at the NBA Draft Lottery on May 16.

While Johnson will handle the televised portion of the event, Lakers GM Rob Pelinka will represent the team in the back where the lottery combinations will actually be drawn.

The Lakers have a 46.9 percent chance to land in the top three of the lottery, and thus keep their pick, which is top three protected. 

If the pick falls out of the top-3, it will be conveyed to the 76ers.

Bam Adebayo will sign with an agent and remain in the 2017 NBA Draft.

Adebayo spent one season at Kentucky, averaging 13.0 points, a team-best 8.0 rebounds while also leading Kentucky in blocks per game (1.5).

Adebayo is projected to be selected in the first round.

Frank Jackson has declared for the 2017 NBA Draft but will not hire an agent.

"Frank has always wanted to be in the NBA," his father, Al, told The Tribune in a phone interview. "He went to Duke for a variety of reasons, and we absolutely made the right decision. If he had gone anywhere else, we wouldn't have had to struggle with this decision. Frank would've been a one-and-done player with no doubt."

Enough NBA teams expressed interest for Jackson to enter the draft process.

"It's clear to us enough teams consider Frank an NBA player," Al Jackson said. "He has superior athleticism, he has high character and he has a high basketball IQ."

Jordan Bell has announced his decision to declare for the 2017 NBA Draft and sign with an agent.

Bell is projected to be the No. 38 overall pick in the latest mock draft by Jonathan Givony of DraftExpress.

Bell averaged 10.9 points, 8.8 rebounds and 2.3 blocks per game this season to help lead Oregon to the Final Four.

Agent Jeff Wechsler has signed Jayson Tatum and Jonathan Isaac.

Both Tatum and Isaac are considered lottery picks.

Wechsler's most prominent NBA client is Kyrie Irving.

P.J. Dozier is hiring an agent to stay in the 2017 NBA Draft, leaving South Carolina after his sophomore season.

Dozier is considered a second round pick.

For his sophomore season, Dozier averaged 13.8 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.6 steals per game.

Jarrett Allen will hire an agent and stay in the 2017 NBA Draft.

“It is with mixed emotions that I announce my decision to begin the process of hiring an agent and turning professional,” Allen said. “Throughout this basketball season, I felt l have grown as a basketball player and as a person while learning how to approach and prepare for the game.

“These experiences and my continual improvement throughout this year have provided me the opportunity of a lifetime to live my dream of playing basketball at the highest level,” he continued.

“I have had deep discussions with my family as well as Coach (Shaka) Smart in making sure this is a sound decision. I firmly believe in my heart, understanding the personal goals I have set and my love for the game of basketball, that this is the right decision to make.”

Allen averaged 13.4 points and 8.4 rebounds per game for Texas.

Allen is expected to be a mid-first round pick.
