The Minnesota Timberwolves have waived forward/center Greg Smith.

Smith was originally signed to 10-day contracts on March 2 and March 12 before being signed through the end of the season on March 22.

He averaged 2.4 points and 2.3 rebounds over 18 games last season with the Timberwolves. In his career, Smith has appeared in 149 games with three teams (Houston, Dallas, Minnesota) and holds career averages of 4.0 points and 3.3 rebounds per game.

The Brooklyn Nets have waived Jarrett Jack.

The Nets attempted to trade away Jack before his contract for 16-17 became guaranteed. Brooklyn must pay only $500,000 of his salary.

Jack is recovering from a torn ACL.

Jack played in 112 games over two seasons with Brooklyn, posting averages of 12.2 points, 3.4 rebounds and 5.4 assists in 29.2 minutes per game. 

Jack can be claimed into a team's cap space for $6.3 million.

The Memphis Grizzlies have claimed Tony Wroten off waivers.

Wroten was released by the New York Knicks when they acquired Derrick Rose via trade.

Wroten signed with the Knicks towards the end of the season and did not appear in any games.

The Grizzlies drafted Wroten in the first round of the 2012 NBA Draft out of Washington.
