The Houston Rockets are set to waive Ty Jerome, according to Kelly Iko of The Athletic.

The Rockets acquired Jerome as part of a multi-player deal with the Thunder. 

The Brooklyn Nets have waived Marcus Zegarowski.

Zegarowski appeared in three Summer League games with the Nets after appearing in eight G League games with the Long Island Nets last season.

Zegarowski was a second round pick in 2021 out of Creighton.

The Detroit Pistons have waived guard Kyler Edwards. The guard was recently signed to an Exhibit 10 contract.

Edwards is now expected to play for the Motor City Cruise of the G League this coming season. The Pistons roster now stands at 18 players, which is one more than the regular season maximum.

Detroit recently announced that Kemba Walker will not attend training camp. The Pistons will look for a new home for the veteran guard, and are expected to waive Walker if they can't find a trade.

The Denver Nuggets have waived forward Justin Tillman. Tillman was signed to an Exhibit 10 contract earlier this offseason.

Tillman is now expected to play for the Grand Rapids Gold, who are the Nuggets G League affiliate. Last season, in 28 games with the College Park Skyhawks of the G League, Tillman averaged 23.5 points and 11.8 rebounds per game.

The New York Knicks have signed guard Jalen Harris to a training camp contract. New York also waived forward Garrison Brooks and Nuni Omot from their camp deals.

Harris was previously with the Toronto Raptors on a Two-Way contract during the 2020-21 season. Harris appeared in 13 NBA games that season and averaged 7.4 points in 13.2 minutes per game.

Harris was suspended for the entire 2021-22 season due to violating the NBA and NBPA's joint drug policy. The 24-year-old guard was reinstated this offseason.

Brooks and Omot were signed to fully non-guaranteed Exhibit 10 contracts. Both players are expected to play with the Westchester Knicks of the G League this season.

The New Orleans Pelicans announced today that the team has signed forwards John Butler and Zylan Cheatham. In a related move, the Pelicans have waived two-way guard Izaiah Brockington. 

Butler, 7-2, 174, played one collegiate season at Florida State, where he averaged 5.9 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1.2 blocks in 31 games. During his rookie campaign, Butler led the Seminoles with 33 three-point shots made as he became the first true freshman in school history to lead Florida State in three-point shots made and three-point field goal shooting percentage (.393). 

Cheatham, 6-5, 220, most recently played professionally for the Utah Jazz, appearing in one game. During the 2021-22 NBA season, Cheatham played in four games for New Orleans, averaging 3.0 points, 0.8 assists and 2.3 rebounds in 12.8 minutes per contest while shooting .667 from the floor. 

Brockington, 6-4, 196, most recently played collegiately for Iowa State University, earning All-Big 12 First Team honors in 2022 after averaging 16.9 points and 6.8 rebounds, to go along with 1.6 assists and 1.3 steals. Over his four-year collegiate career, Brockington appeared in 125 games for St. Bonaventure, Penn State and Iowa State, averaging 10.4 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.3 assists.

New Orleans’ roster now stands at 20 players, including one two-way player.

The Los Angeles Clippers have waived Keaton Wallace.

Wallace was recently signed by the Clippers on an Exhibit 10 deal.

The Boston Celtics have waived Bruno Caboclo.

Caboclo played in Brazil last season, averaging 18.3 points, 8.4 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 33.5 minutes over 44 games.

Caboclo last played in the NBA during the 20-21 season.

The Brooklyn Nets signed and waived Marcus Zegarowski. This move was designed to get Zegarowski to the Long Island Nets of the G League. The guard will likely receive a $50,000 bonus if he spends 60 days with the G League Nets.

Zegarowski played in 21 games for Long Island last season, with 16 starts. The 6-foot-2 guard averaged 11.6 points, 2.9 rebounds and 2.4 assists for the G League Nets. 

The Milwaukee Bucks signed and waived forward Alex Antetokounmpo. This move is designed to get Antetokounmpo to the Wisconsin Herd of the G League. Antetokounmpo will likely get a $50,000 bonus if he remains with the Herd for 60 days.

Antetokounmpo played for Raptors 905 of the G League last season. The 6-foot-8 forward played just 162 minutes in 23 total games for Toronto's minor league affiliate.

The Herd recently completed a trade for Antetokounmpo's Returning Player rights. That set the stage for the sign-and-waive process with the Bucks.
