The Portland Trail Blazers have waived forward Trendon Watford.

In two seasons, Watford recorded career averages of 7.5 points (54.7% FG, 33.3% 3-PT, 73.7% FT), 4.0 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 18.6 minutes in 110 games (22 starts) for the Portland Trail Blazers from 2021-23. 

The Los Angeles Lakers have waived Mo Bamba while also deciding against picking up the $16.5 million option on Malik Beasley.

The moves will put the Lakers on the track to remain below the $172 million luxury tax cap threshold for 2023-24 and allow them to use the full $12.4 million non-taxpayer midlevel exception.

Bruce Brown Jr. and Brook Lopez are amongst the players the Lakers are targeting with the MLE.

The Lakers could bring back Bamba or Beasley on a new deal.

The Los Angeles Clippers waived Eric Gordon on Wednesday night, deciding not to guarantee his $21 million contract for next season. 

According to Bobby Marks of ESPN, the move will lower the Clippers' projected tax bill from $169 million to $59 million. The team is currently $18 million over the tax threshold.

The Clippers traded for Gordon during this season's trade deadline for Luke Kennard, John Wall, and a protected pick swap. 

The Detroit Pistons have waived R.J. Hampton. Hampton was on a non-guaranteed $1.9 million contract for next season.

Hampton joined the Pistons following a mid-season waiver from the Orlando Magic. In 21 games with Detroit, Hampton averaged 7.3 points in 18.5 minutes per game.

The Orlando Magic have waived guard Jayden Scrubb from his two-way contract. Scrubb signed a two-year, two-way deal with the Magic last season.

Scrubb only appeared in two games with Orlando last season, but excelled with the Lakeland Magic of the G League. The 6-foot-5 guard averaged 23.1 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game for Lakeland.
