Casey Fined $25,000 By NBA For Criticizing Officials

Dwane Casey has received a $25,000 fine by the NBA for public criticism of the officials.

Casey made his comments in the postgame press conference following the Raptors' 93-92 loss to the Atlanta Hawks on Jan. 30 at Philips Arena.

Shawn Marion was fined $25,000 by the NBA on Saturday because of his public criticism of officials after the Dallas Mavericks' overtime loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday.

Kevin Durant went 21-for-21 from the free throw line Friday on his way to a career-high 52 points.

“It’s hard to beat anybody when you’re playing five-on-eight,” Marion told reporters. “That’s nuts. Some of them were fouls. Some of them were questionable. But it is what it is.”

Charlie Villanueva has been fined $25,000 for his flagrant foul two on Isaiah Thomas during the second quarter of Detroit Pistons' 103-97 win over the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday, the NBA announced on Wednesday.

"He's a dirty player," Thomas said after the game, according to the Sacramento Bee. "It is what it is. He got kicked out of the game, so it wasn't nothing big. A lot of guys do stuff like that knowing you can't really fight in this league, so it's all right."
