Russell Westbrook Fined $10,000 For Confronting Rudy Gobert

Russell Westbrook has been fined $10,000 and assessed a technical foul after the fact for his incident in Game 4 in which he confronted Rudy Gobert.

The incident occurred after Westbrook came onto the court as a substitution following a stoppage in play due to a foul with 7:55 remaining in the fourth quarter.

Justise Winslow has been fined $15,000 for unsportsmanlike conduct for intentionally stepping on and attempting to damage the facemask of Philadelphia’s Joel Embiid.

The incident, which took place after Embiid’s facemask had fallen onto the playing court, occurred with 7:51 remaining in the second quarter of the 76ers’ 128-108 win over the Heat on Thursday, April 19 at AmericanAirlines Arena.

Hassan Whiteside Fined For Comments Detrimental To Heat

Hassan Whiteside has been fined by the Miami Heat an undisclosed amount for "comments detrimental to the team."

Whiteside went on an expletive-laden tirade after Miami's 110-109 overtime loss Saturday to the Nets.

Whiteside didn't play in the final 21 minutes on Saturday as the Nets went small.

Miami's  highest-paid player questioned why the team is matching up when "we've got one of the best centers in the league."

"A lot of teams don't have a good center," Whiteside said. "They are going to use their strengths. It's bulls---. It's really bulls---, man. There are a lot of teams that can use a center."

Asked if the situation has caused him to contemplate his future in Miami, Whiteside replied, "I don't know. Maybe."

Whiteside has two seasons remaining on his four-year, $98 million deal with the Heat.
