Malik Rose has been named the 17-18 G League Executive of the Year.

Rose is in his first season as a G League general manager and oversaw the Erie BayHawks.

The BayHawks went 28-22 in the regular season.

Under Rose’s leadership, the BayHawks helped develop Atlanta rookies Tyler Cavanaugh, Tyler Dorsey, Josh Magette and Andrew White III.

The Houston Rockets will sign Tim Quarterman to a 10-day contract.

Quarterman is averaging 8.9 points, 4.3 rebounds and 5.3 assists in 25.6 minutes per game this season in the G League with the Agua Caliente Clippers.

Quarterman appeared in 16 games last season with the Blazers.

The Philadelphia 76ers have waived James Young.

Young was signed by the 76ers to a two-way contract in January.

Young appeared in six games with Philadelphia, averaging 2.8 points in 10.2 minutes per appearance.

Young is averaging 20.7 points, 5.6 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 33.4 minutes per game in the G League.

Zeke Upshaw has passed away at the age of 26 after collapsing during a G League game on Friday.

The Grand Rapids Drive released the following statement from Upshaw's mother Jewel Upshaw.

“After continued efforts from the medical team at Spectrum Health, Zeke made his transition at 11:16 am. To family, friends, teammates, coaches, fans & confidants, thank you for your prayers and support during this most difficult time."

Upshaw was averaging 8.5 points and 2.3 rebounds in 19.8 minutes per game this season for the Drive. Upshaw also played for the Drive last season.

Upshaw went undrafted in 2014 out of Hofstra.

The Chicago Bulls have signed forward Jaylen Johnson.

Johnson (6-9, 230) has played in 49 games (37 starts) this season for the Windy City Bulls. He holds G League averages of 11.7 points, 7.6 boards and 2.9 assists in 29.0 minutes per game.

The Memphis Grizzlies have signed Marquis Teague to a 10-day contract.

Teague was a first round pick in 2012 out of Kentucky.

Teague has averaged 17.6 points. 3.4 rebounds and 6.1 assists in 32.5 minutes per game this season in the G League with the Memphis Hustle.

Antonio Blakeney underwent an MRI on Thursday on his left wrist, followed by an examination by the team’s hand specialist, Dr. John Fernandez.  Initially diagnosed with a left wrist sprain, the MRI confirmed that he sustained a non-displaced scaphoid fracture in his left wrist.  As a result of the injury, Blakeney will miss the remainder of the season.

Blakeney incurred the injury in Chicago’s game at New York on Monday night. 

A two-way player who split time this season between the Bulls and the Windy City Bulls, Blakeney saw action in 19 games with Chicago and averaged 7.9 points, 1.7 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 16.5 minutes.

The Dallas Mavericks are expected to sign Aaron Harrison to a 10-day contract.

Harrison is averaging 18.7 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 26.9 minutes per game with the Reno Big Horns of the G League.

Harrison last played in the NBA in 16-17 with the Hornets.

Jameel Warney is near the ned of his 10-day contract with the Mavericks.

Brandon Jennings has agreed upon a 10-day contract with the Milwaukee Bucks.

Jennings was a first round pick by the Bucks in 2009.

Jennings recently joined the Wisconsin Herd of the G League.

The Los Angeles Lakers have agreed to sign Travis Wear to a 10-day contract.

Wear appeared in 51 games for the Knicks during the 14-15 season.

During the 17-18 G League season, Wear is averaging 16.2 points, 8.1 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game.
