Taurean Prince Arrested On Outstanding Drugs, Weapons Charges From Texas

Taurean Prince was arrested on Thursday night in Miami due to an outstanding warrant from a traffic stop in Texas back in May.

Prince was originally pulled over due to expired registration. Police would find two handguns, a vape pen containing THC, and a cannister of marijuana in Prince's car.

Prince was charged with unlawful carrying of a weapon, possession of marijuana, and possession of a controlled substance.

Arlington police stated that the tests on the vape pen came back recently, explaining why the warrant for Prince took three months.

Prince was booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.

It is not clear what charges Prince is currently facing.

Prince signed a two-year, $16 million contract extension with the Wolves in June.

Comcast Sells NBC Sports Washington To Ted Leonsis' Monumental

Comcast sold its regional sports network NBC Sports Washington to Monumental Sports & Entertainment, lead by CEO and Washington Wizards owner Ted Leonsis.

Leonsis also owns the Washington Capitals.

Monumental owned 33% of the RSN before acquiring the remaining 67% of the company.

Comcast owns six other RSNs, though is not currently looking to sell any others.

The deal with Monumental is considered a one-off due to the two sides' existing relationship.

Knicks Add More Space For Front Row, Second Row Seats

The New York Knicks are adding two front row seats and 24 second row seats for home games next season, MSG Sports announced in an earnings call.

The team created the extra room by breaking up the scorer's table.

The new courtside seats are expected to go for as much as $3000 a ticket, according to Josh Kosman of the New York Post.

The Knicks ranked third in the league in averaging $2.99 million in gate receipts per game last season.

Timberwolves Hire Michael Grady As New Play-By-Play Announcer

The Minnesota Timberwolves hired Michael Grady as the team's new play-by-play announcer.

Grady, who was previously with the Nets, replaces Dave Benz in the role.

“I know the fan base already has a sense of excitement about what this team can be, and I’m excited about fanning that flame,” Grady told Jon Krawczynski of The Athletic.

Grady served as the sideline reporter and pregame and postgame host for the YES Network over the last five years.

Carmelo Anthony is set to create a four-part docuseries on his life and career titled "Seven."

The documentary will also take a look at notable moments throughout Anthony's NBA career, much of which he has yet to publicly comment on thus far.

“The biggest question everyone is probably thinking is – why now? Why choose this moment to tell my story? The short of it is I’ve spent enough time letting other people speak for me. It’s time for my truth,” said Anthony. “I look forward to viewers finally having the opportunity to hear about my journey in my own words."

Anthony, who will collaborate with Westbrook Studios and Falkon Entertainment on the project, will produce the docuseries through his Creative 7 production company.

Anthony is currently a free agent for the upcoming season.

The Lakers will be at the Warriors in the second game.

In addition, Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports! reported that Rudy Gobert and the Timberwolves will face the Jazz on October 21 in Minnesota. 

The league also announced its 5-game Christmas slate over the weekend.
