Zion Williamson Settling In As No. 1 Prospect Of 2019 NBA Draft Class

Nov 23, 2018 10:31 AM

Zion Williamson is settling in as the No. 1 prospect in the 2019 NBA Draft class.

Williamson's blend of skill, size, strength and athleticism makes him one of the most unique prospects in recent memory.

"Don't overthink this one," said one high ranking executive.

"Don't pass up on another unicorn," said another.

Williamson has exceeded expectations over his first few weeks with Duke.

Some scouts believe the No. 1 pick will come down to Williamson and Cam Reddish, not RJ Barrett.

LaMelo Ball will return to the United States to play high school basketball at the Spire Institute in Ohio.

Ball had played in Lithuania with BC Vytautas Prienai.

“I’m excited to return to school and rejoin my class on the court for my senior year,” said Ball. “Playing in international competition was a great experience. I learned and matured so much. I appreciated the JBA experience my dad provided for me. I think it helped my development. I can’t wait to play with my peers.”

Ball is eligible to play because Spire is a prep school.
