Walter McCarty has been placed on administrative leave at Evansville pending a Title IX investigation, the school announced on Friday.

"The University has received reports of unwelcome conduct by Coach McCarty since his arrival in March 2018. We have counseled him about his behavior. We have placed Coach McCarty on leave while that incident is being investigated," said school president Christopher M. Pietruszkiewicz said in a campus memo.

McCarty was hired at Evansville in 2018. The team beat then No. 1-ranked Kentucky earlier this season.

Cole Anthony Out 4-6 Weeks With Surgery On Torn Meniscus

Dec 17, 2019 9:15 PM

Cole Anthony will miss four to six weeks after undergoing an arthroscopic knee procedure to repair a partially torn meniscus.

Anthony's injured is believed to have occurred over time and not on a specific play.

Anthony is expected to be a lottery pick in the 2020 NBA Draft.

“Obviously not having a player of Cole’s caliber will be a tremendous challenge to our young team, but we have to play,” Roy Williams said in a statement. No one player is going to replace the production Cole Anthony gives us, so it’s up to everyone who puts on a North Carolina jersey to raise his game, and help our team play better.”

Anthony expects to return before the end of North Carolina's season.

Bill Self Could Possibly Succeed Gregg Popovich As Head Coach Of Spurs

Dec 9, 2019 5:40 PM

Gregg Popovich has given no indication to the San Antonio Spurs that he won't remain as head coach next season.

There has been speculation that Popovich could retire shortly after the 2020 Olympics with the United States.

League sources tell Sam Amick and John Hollinger of The Athletic that Bill Self is a potential replacement as head coach of the Spurs. Self is a close friend of R.C. Buford and have been so since their college days at Oklahoma States. Self and Buford worked together as assistants under Larry Brown at Kansas in the mid-1980s.

Kansas is under investigation for potential NCAA violations.
