Xavier Booker announced his commitment to Michigan State on Saturday.

Booker selected the Spartans over a list of several schools, including Auburn, Cincinnati, Gonzaga, Indiana, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oregon and Purdue.

Booker will be ranked in ESPN's top 10 for the 2023 class when the next rankings are released later this summer.

Booker represents the second ESPN top 100 signing for Michigan State after Jeremy Fears.

Omaha Biliew announced his commitment to Iowa State on Tuesday, becoming the highest-ranked commit in the program's modern history.

Biliew is currently ranked as the No. 9 prospect in ESPN's Top 100 for the 2023 class.

Biliew picked the Cyclones over Oregon, Kansas, and the G League Ignite.

He is the first five-star recruit to commit to Iowa State since ESPN started tracking recruiting in 2007.

Five-star prospect Justin Edwards announced his commitment to Kentucky on Monday.

Edwards, who is Kentucky's second five-star recruit for the 2023 class, picked the Wildcats over Tennessee.

Edwards is currently ranked as the No. 13 prospect by ESPN for the 2023 class.

"His jumper is more than capable, but where he excels is in transition as a high-level finisher in the open floor. In the half court, he dominates with hard, straight-line drives, trips to the free throw line and works the glass for extra possessions," said Paul Biancardi, ESPN's National Recruiting Director. 

G.G. Jackson announced his commitment to South Carolina while also reclassifying into the 2022 class over the weekend.

Jackson had recently decommitted from UNC.

Jackson, who will play for the Gamecocks this upcoming season, was ranked as the No. 6 prospect in the 2023 class by ESPN.

G.G. Jackson decommitted from North Carolina on Thursday, becoming the first player in almost 20 years to decommit from the program.

Jackson, who is ranked as the No. 6 player in the 2023 class by ESPN, announced the decision on Twitter. 

It is rumored that Jackson plans to reclassify into the 2022 class and join South Carolina next season. 

The Gamecocks were favored to land Jackson before parting ways with coach Frank Martin. 

Five-star recruit Kylan Boswell reclassified into the 2022 class and will play at Arizona this upcoming fall. 

Boswell announced the decision in a tweet sent on Wednesday.

Boswell was ranked as the No. 18 recruit in the class of 2023 by ESPN.

Rod Strickland was hired as the new men's head basketball coach of Long Island University on Thursday.

Strickland, who replaces Derek Kellogg, was serving as the program director of the G League Ignite.

"I am appreciative to Long Island University for the opportunity to become a head coach at home, in New York City," announced Strickland in a statement. "The Sharks are going to be a competing program for top athletes who not only want to take their game to the next level but prepare for success."

Strickland has previous assistant coaching experience at South Florida.
