Cezar Guerrero is transferring to Fresno State and is likely to apply to the NCAA for a hardship waiver to be eligible this upcoming season.
Guerrero decided to transfer from Oklahoma State in order to be closer to his ailing mother in Los Angeles.
Dez Wells is visiting Kentucky on Wednesday.
Wells was expelled from Xavier on August 3rd and denied an appeal despite no legal charges being leveled against him.
Wells will also visit Memphis and Maryland with a decision likely coming on Monday.
Charles Carmouche has transferred from Memphis to LSU after being granted a fifth year of eligibility.
“We’re excited to have Charles as part of our LSU basketball program,” LSU coach Johnny Jones said in a release. “He has an ability to defend and a knack for scoring. With his experience, Charles brings a leadership and a presence to our team that we need heading into the start of preseason workouts.”
A Louisiana native, Carmouche played two seasons at New Orleans before transferring to Memphis, where he played the last two years.
Carmouche was granted a medical redshirt last season because of knee tendinitis.
Calvin Godfrey will not enroll at LSU for the fall semester after failing to meet the necessary academic requirements, the school announced on Monday.
Godfrey began his college career at Iowa State, where he was dismissed from the team following an arrest for marijuana possession.
Cezar Guerrero has received his release to transfer from Oklahoma State.
Guerrero intends to transfer to a school closer to his home in the Los Angeles area.
Guerrero averaged 5.6 points, 1.6 assists and 1.5 rebounds in 18.4 minutes per game as a freshman with the Cowboys.
Milton Doyle is leaving the Kansas basketball program, his mother, Lisa Green, confirmed Sunday night.
“It’s nothing bad about the school or the coaches or anything. Sometimes things happen for a reason,” Green said from her home in Chicago.
Doyle struggled during the Jayhawks’ recent four-game exhibition tour of Europe, averaging 2.3 points a game with five turnovers against no assists.
Doyle originally committed to Florida International, but reopened his recruiting last spring when FIU coach Isiah Thomas was fired.
Ron Patterson will transfer from Indiana after failing to meet all of the academic requirements.
Patterson will transfer to a four-year school or a prep school.
“We think very highly of Ron and will continue to work with him as allowed to help him reach his goals,’’ Tom Crean said in the release. “He has the chance to do some special things for himself and his family and we will be supportive of whatever he chooses to do.’’
Patterson was one of Indiana's highly recruited freshmen.
Jake O’Brien will play his final college basketball season at Temple.
"I chose Temple because of the success of the program and a chance for me to come in right away to contribute and compete for [an opportunity to reach] the NCAA tournament," O’Brien said.
The 6-foot-8 O'Brien sat out the 2011-2012 season as a medical redshirt.
O’Brien averaged career highs of 13.8 points and 6.4 rebounds as a sophomore for BU.
