With Suspension Nearly Over, KU's Selby To Come Off Bench

Highly-touted freshman Josh Selby will make his NCAA debut with Kansas on Saturday after serving a nine-game suspension.

Selby has been practicing with the Jayhawks' starters, but is expected to come off the be bench initially.

"He's getting all the reps with the first group," Kansas coach Bill Self said. "I don't think I'm going to start him, even though I know I haven't made a decision, positively. I don't think I will, because he's got to beat somebody out. He needs to perform well in the games and not just practice."

Kentucky Requests Reexamination Of Kanter's Eligibility

Kentucky is asking the NCAA to take reexamine the eligibility of freshman center Enes Kanter.

The school and the NCAA put out a joint statement Friday saying Kentucky has asked for an opportunity to submit additional information about Kanter's eligibility.

Kanter, who was one of the highest rated freshmen of the current NCAA season, was ruled ineligible in November.
