Ohio State is considering pursuing Mike Brown for their head coaching vacancy.

The Buckeyes parted ways with Thad Matta this week and appeared close to hiring Greg McDermott but he has decided to remain at Creighton.

Fred Hoiberg has also been linked to the job.

No contact has been made yet with Brown.

Fred Hoiberg has emerged as a candidate for the newly vacant Ohio State job.

Hoiberg recently completed his second season in the NBA with the Chicago Bulls. Hoiberg previously coached at Iowa State.
