Russell Westbrook suffered a hamstring injury during the Los Angeles Lakers preseason game against the Sacramento Kings.

Westbrook, who suffered the injury in the first quarter, did not return to the game. 

Westbrook came off bench for the Lakers' final preseason game ahead of their regular season opener on Tuesday. 

Draymond Green is expected to receive some form of disciplinary action after striking Jordan Poole during a Golden State Warriors practice, sources told Chris Haynes of Yahoo! Sports.

Green and Poole reportedly had prior history, though no Warriors players felt that Green's actions were warranted.

Green was apologetic following the incident. 

Teammates noticed a change in Poole's behavior during training camp as he closed in on a new contract, according to sources. 

The Phoenix Suns have gone through a tumultuous offseason. Now, the Suns preseason isn't off to a roaring start either. Phoenix lost their preseason opener to the Adelaide 36ers by a score of 134-124.

This was the first loss by an NBA team to a non-NBA team since 2016. The 36ers play in Australia's National Basketball League. Despite playing with a three-point line that was a foot-and-a-half further back, Adelaide made 24-of-43 shots from behind the arc.

Suns coach Monty Williams said his team will learn to respect their opponents more from this loss.

"Just didn't give them the respect that they deserve as a pro team," Williams said. "It's a great opportunity for us to learn."

Ben Simmons is set to make his Brooklyn Nets debut on Monday against the Philadelphia 76ers.

Seth Curry and T.J. Warren remain out due to injuries. 

Curry had ankle surgery in May, with Warren set to be reassessed in November. 

Gordon Hayward is set to miss the Charlotte Hornets' preseason game against the Boston Celtics due to a knee contusion.

Steve Clifford said that Hayward was limited after banging his knee in practice.

Hayward averaged 15.9 points and 4.6 rebounds in 49 games last season. 

Kawhi Leonard and John Wall are set to make their return to the basketball court on Monday, according to Ty Lue.

Leonard missed all of last season while recovering from a partially torn ACL.

Wall sat out last season after reaching a mutual decision with the Rockets to not play.
