Chris Webber wants to come back but the Sacramento Kings staff are not sure that he is ready. The Sacramento Bee reports that Webber asked to be put into action against the Dallas Mavericks a week ago but Rick Adelman and the team's trainer voted against it.
Said Webber of the meeting with Adelman leading into the 76ers contest, "It was hard for me. The coach is just doing his job, I understand. The reason why he is a player's coach, and people say that, is just because he communicates.
"Coach said what he wanted, and I'm going to deal with it. I know he has the team's best interests in heart, so whenever I can play, I'm going to play."
Webber said something a little disturbing when he said he probably wouldn't feel normal all season, "but it feels good enough to go."
