The Denver Nuggets Raef LaFrentz says that he's getting a little antsy with the lack of progress of his team.  The Rocky Mountain News gets LaFrentz to comment on this and his pending contract.  It seems that LaFrentz is reaching a point of no return but he'd still like to make it work in Denver.

"I'd be in a position to act as more of a leader and say, 'OK, which direction are we going to go?' Because this isn't cutting it. Nobody's happy, nobody's having much fun. But I'm not going to quit on the situation. That's not in my character. That's all I can say about what I think of where we're going."

"But if it's not going to happen here, I want to get to a fresh situation. I want to get to a winner. I want to be on a team where I feel like I'm making significant contributions to a winning team. I want to see the playoffs. I want to see a championship. There's a lot of things in my career I want to do.

"I still think it can happen here, but we've got to get going. It's been four years for me, sitting through this and watching what's been happening with our team, and it's becoming an urgent situation."
