The offseason trade that brought Antoine Walker to Dallas was a steal for the Mavs. Walker is a nice player, an offensive juggernaut at times, but unfortunately he is not at all what the Mavs need. Even so, getting a player of Walker's caliber was a coup for the Mavs, who are again loaded with offense and have a defensive deficiency.
The window on the Mavs' opportunity to win a title is slipping away. Given the team's offseason moves, it's almost as if owner Mark Cuban has said that if his team isn't going to win it all, they might as well be fun to watch.
