It is looking like injured Heat guard Dwayne Wade (bone bruise on right wrist) will miss more than five games while on the injured list.
Head coach Stan Van Gundy might not return until Miami's January 20 home game with the Boston Celtics.
"When you're told a minimum of two weeks, you're usually not going to get a guy back in half that time," Van Gundy said. "So we pretty much planned that he would probably be out for these games and, unfortunately, probably the entire West Coast road trip.
"Hopefully we get him back sometime on that trip, but the probability is we won't."
