The Milwaukee Bucks have signed free agent forward Marcus Fizer to a contract, General Manager Larry Harris announced today. Terms of the contract were not disclosed in accordance with club policy.

"We are encouraged by what we have seen from Marcus in his workouts since undergoing off-season knee surgery," said Harris. "As he continues his aggressive rehabilitation schedule and completes several practices to improve his conditioning, we think he will be a solid contributor on our team."

Originally drafted by Chicago in the first round of the 2000 NBA Draft (fourth overall), Fizer, 26, averaged 10.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 232 games over four seasons with the Bulls. Following his rookie season, he was named to the NBA All-Rookie Second Team. His best season came in 2001-02 when he tallied 12.3 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 76 games.
